Pooh Shiesty Returns to the Studio After Prison Release

Pooh Shiesty is officially back in the studio. Just a month after his release from federal prison, the Memphis rapper signaled that his comeback is in motion. On November 5, Shiesty shared a video on his Instagram Story showing him on a high-rise balcony. He flashed his ankle monitor and declared, “Breaking news… studio, studio, studio, studio. Record, studio.” Over the clip, he added, “75% Back Outside, 100% Studio Ready.”

Shiesty served nearly three years of a 63-month sentence for conspiring to possess firearms in furtherance of violent and drug-trafficking crimes. His release marked a turning point for one of Memphis rap’s most talked-about young voices. Shiesty first rose to national attention in 2020 with his breakout under Gucci Mane’s 1017 label, and his momentum had fans eagerly anticipating more.

Since leaving prison, Shiesty has kept a relatively low profile. He briefly made headlines when Wack 100 accused him of cooperating with authorities to secure an early release. His attorney, Bradford Cohen, immediately denied the claims, calling them “completely false” and stating, “Pooh Shiesty gave up no one. We never cooperated with the government whatsoever. Our defense was that we blamed the alleged victims. The victims were trying to rob Pooh and his crew and that’s why the guns came out.”

With his legal battles behind him, Shiesty appears focused on reclaiming his place in the rap scene. Fans have already seen snippets of new music on social media, and anticipation is building for his full comeback. The rapper’s return to the studio signals that new material is on the horizon, and his supporters are ready to witness the next chapter in his career.

Pooh Shiesty’s return demonstrates resilience and determination, and his upcoming releases will likely remind the hip-hop world why he became one of Memphis’ standout talents so quickly.
