The Alchemist and Hit-Boy Announce Joint Album “Goldfish” Featuring Star-Studded Collaborations

Producers and rappers The Alchemist and Hit-Boy have revealed details for their upcoming joint album, Goldfish, set to release this Friday, October 24. The duo shared the album cover, tracklist, and featured artists, creating buzz among fans ahead of the drop.

Goldfish contains 15 tracks with appearances from Havoc, Conway The Machine, Boldy James, Jay Worthy, Hit-Boy’s father Big Hit, and multi-instrumentalist Johnathan Hulett. Two tracks, “Business Merger” and the Havoc-assisted “Celebration Moments,” have already been released, giving listeners a preview of the album’s sound.

The project goes beyond music. Goldfish is accompanied by a short film starring The Alchemist and Hit-Boy, alongside actors Danny Trejo, Simon Rex, Rory Culkin, Blake Anderson, and Gerald “Slink” Johnson. The movie also marks the acting debuts of Conway The Machine, Lefty Gunplay, and Big Twins, directed by Abteen Bagheri-Fard, known for A$AP Rocky’s “Peso.” The film follows “a squad of hit men disguised as carpet cleaners attempting to leave a life of crime in a chaotic flurry of events.”

Both artists have had busy years leading up to Goldfish. The Alchemist released Alfredo 2 with Freddie Gibbs and Life Is Beautiful with Larry June and 2 Chainz, while projects with Erykah Badu (Abi & Alan), Yasiin Bey (Forensics), and Armand Hammer (Mercy) are underway. He also contributed to Mobb Deep’s comeback album Infinite, Jay Worthy’s Once Upon a Time, Evidence’s Unlearning Vol. 2, and billy woods’ GOLLIWOG.

Hit-Boy has been active in recent months with collaborations including Jay Electronica, AzChike, 03 Greedo, Lefty Gunplay, TiaCorine, and BabyTron. He recently celebrated the end of an 18-year publishing deal, crediting JAY-Z and Roc Nation co-founder Desiree Perez for helping secure his independence. Hit-Boy described the moment as a fresh start, comparing it to being released after an 18-year sentence.

Goldfish represents a convergence of music, film, and collaboration, highlighting both artists’ production skills, creative vision, and expanding influence in hip-hop. Fans can stream the album and view the accompanying short film starting Friday, October 24.
