Kendrick Lamar Dominates Charts and Stages Despite Low Profile

Kendrick Lamar has maintained a quiet presence on his own social media and catalog, but his impact elsewhere has been impossible to ignore. The Compton rapper is preparing for the second-to-last leg of his Grand National World Tour later this month, continuing a run of high-profile performances and record-breaking chart success.
Recently, Lamar made a surprise appearance in Los Angeles to perform with Clipse on their collaboration “Chains & Whips” from Let God Sort Em Out. His visibility in 2025 has been striking, from winning big at the Grammys with “Not Like Us” to delivering the Drake diss track at the Super Bowl stage, cementing his influence across music and live performance.
Kendrick Lamar’s achievements on the Billboard charts have been historic. His collaboration with SZA on GNX, “luther,” spent 13 consecutive weeks at number one, the longest run for a rap song in history. The duo became the first male-female solo artists to remain atop the Hot 100 for more than 11 weeks.
Beyond “luther,” Lamar has kept his presence steady with other tracks from GNX, including “Not Like Us,” “tv off,” and “peekaboo,” as well as “30 For 30” from the deluxe edition of SOS. According to Bars, he is the only rapper of 2025 to have charted consistently throughout the first 50 weeks of the Hot 100, with “luther” accounting for roughly 25–26% of his streak.
As the tour continues, fans are eager to see if live performances will push more songs onto the charts. The South American and Mexican stretch begins in Mexico City on September 23, marking another chapter in Lamar’s ongoing dominance. With nine months of achievements already, Kendrick Lamar’s combination of chart-breaking tracks, surprise performances, and global touring solidifies his place as one of the most influential artists in music today.
