Cardi B Claps Back at Stationhead Rumors Amid New Single Release

Cardi B is known for speaking her mind, and she recently addressed a misconception about her use of the platform Stationhead. During a rant captured by Live Bitez, she made it clear she is not joining the platform because of her longtime rival Nicki Minaj’s warnings to fans.

“Don’t fcking come at me when it comes to fcking Stationhead and getting on fcking Stationhead,” Cardi said. “I was one of the fcking first artists to get on motherfcking Stationhead. One of the first that they actually asked me if I want a stake … So shut the fck up. I don’t know what the fck y’all talking about. Every single time that I motherfcking put out a single I come here.”

Her outburst divided fans online. Some criticized her for arguing publicly, asking why she constantly feels the need to defend herself. Others supported her stance, agreeing that she has earned her place on the platform.

Cardi’s latest single, Imaginary Playerz, also stirred debate. The track samples Jay-Z’s 1997 song In My Lifetime, Vol. 1, leaving listeners split. While some praised the nostalgic nod, others were less impressed. Critics and fans alike are watching closely as Cardi prepares to release her upcoming album Am I The Drama?

Joe Budden weighed in on Imaginary Playerz during a recent podcast episode. He argued the beat choice was a misstep for Cardi. “She shouldn’t do that again. Don’t do that again,” he said. “Don’t take any East Coast, top 3 or 4 rapper, beat, classic song, and redo that… We’re gonna shout out the writers. The writers killed. This is not about the writers. The writers killed… That wasn’t enough.”

Despite the criticism, Cardi remains vocal about her creative choices and her commitment to platforms like Stationhead. As she prepares for her new album, fans and critics will be watching how she balances experimentation with the sound that made her a household name.
