Doja Cat & SZA ‘Kiss Me More’ Out Now! It was back in January when Doja Cat first teased a SZA feature for her upcoming project. The duo have now dropped their first-ever collaboration today (Friday April 9), which gives us a glimpse of what to expect in Doja’s upcoming third album Planet Her, due this summer. Doja’s LP is slated for a summer 2021 release via Kemosabe/RCA.
SZA interviewed the Hot Pink star for the surreal 3D cover of V Magazine last month. In the interview, SZA was full of praise for Doja Cat’s eclectic pop style stating that she believes Doja Cat was well on her way to becoming the next Britney Spears. The “Streets” hit maker has been preparing carefully for her forthcoming album Planet Her and while little detail is given about the features on the record, she did give a little bit of a hint.
“It’s people that I respect and I’m extremely excited about having on the album and it’s a full-circle moment for me, basically,” said Doja Cat. Meanwhile, SZA’s fans have been imploring her for a follow-up project to her 2017 studio debut Ctrl. The Top Dawg Entertainment singer did promise that she has heat coming our way, but we may have to wait for the TDE gods to bless us. SZA dropped her most recent music video, for “Good Days,” back in March.
Doja Cat’s most recent LP Hot Pink, dropped back in 2019 and included her hit “Say So.” She ended up performing that track at the recently concluded 2021 Grammy Awards. She also appeared on an Ariana Grande remix (alongside Megan Thee Stallion) besides releasing a collaboration with Saweetie on “Best Friend.” Check out the Warren Fu-directed video for “Kiss Me More” right below
