“AP” marks Pop’s second release of 2021 and is set to appear on the official soundtrack of Eddie Huang‘s upcoming film Boogie . The movie will also serve as the Shoot For The Stars, Aim For The Moon rapper’s acting debut as he portrays the role of Monk, a fellow basketball player who seems to be the rival of Taylor Takahashi’s Alfred “Boogie” Chin.
ABOUT BOOGIE
Coming-of-age story about a Chinese high-school basketball star named Alfred “Boogie” Chin (Taylor Takahashi) living in Queens, New York, who dreams of one day playing in the NBA. While his parents pressure him to focus on earning a scholarship to an elite college, Boogie must find a way to navigate off-court challenges such as Asian cultural stereotypes, high school, on-court rivals and the burden of expectation. Written and directed by author, chef, and restaurateur Eddie Huang and will also serve as his directorial debut.
