Another year has gone by, and contrary to the one before, 2021 is touted to bring at least some notable — and possibly a game-changing difference including new music from J. Cole. If his recently-teased schedule is anything to go by, the rapper could as well be sitting on a number of projects, including the first one up, The Off-Season. As rumors of an imminent release continue doing rounds, Cole has hit that annual milestone once again, closing the books on another year and celebrating his 36th birthday as well.

As Benny The Butcher once rapped, “it’s a man’s world — you at your best when you’re middle-aged.” Cole is the perfect example of the latter claim, continuing to take the leadership role in the game by example from behind the mic and beyond the booth. Many of his fans across the world continue to eagerly hang on the his every word, even as his upcoming project is touted to be one of the year’s most anticipated drops.
