Clipse Close the Year with Grammy Nods and New “P.O.V.” Video Featuring Tyler The Creator

Clipse are ending the year on a high note with the success of Let God Sort Em Out, their first album together in over 15 years. The project has earned two Grammy nominations at the 68th annual ceremony, including Album of the Year and Best Rap Album.
The album has inspired multiple music videos. The latest, released on December 10, is for the track “P.O.V.” Directed by Cole Bennett, the visual features Clipse rapping in a grand ballroom alongside a group of animatronics. Tyler The Creator appears on the track, marking a highly anticipated collaboration.
Tyler has described working with Clipse as a career highlight. Speaking to Zane Lowe earlier this year, he said hearing his own voice on a Clipse album ranked among the top moments of his life. “I got Grammys, I got whips, I done did it all. That might be top eight moments of my life,” he said. He also thanked Pusha, Malice, and Pharrell for the opportunity.
In a Hot 97 interview, Tyler explained the pressure he felt when writing his verse. He described feeling nervous about working alongside what he called “two of my Mount Rushmores, produced by Mount Rushmore.” Tyler revealed that it took him weeks to perfect the verse, starting in April and finishing by late May or early June.
Let God Sort Em Out features a range of prominent collaborators beyond Tyler The Creator, including Kendrick Lamar, John Legend, Stove God Cooks, and Nas. The album’s mix of veteran rap voices and fresh contributions has resonated with fans and critics alike, cementing Clipse’s return as one of the year’s standout moments in hip hop.
The Grammy nominations and ongoing music video releases highlight Clipse’s enduring impact on the genre. Let God Sort Em Out has not only reestablished the duo’s presence in the rap scene but also showcased their ability to collaborate with new-generation artists while maintaining their signature sound.
