A Drive-in Festival is said to be outside of New York’s Yankee Stadium

New Yorkers continue to work on decreasing the infection and death rates in response to the current pandemic. MASC Hospitality Group is looking to bring back the joys of entertainment to the city, but in a safer way during this pandemic. They first came up with the idea of having their “Uptown Drive-In” back in March once they realized many of their events would be affected as New York became the epicenter of the virus. Marco Shalma, the co-owner says,”We wanted to create a space where people can eat, watch films or comedians, play bingo, and even have date nights in a way that is safe.”

As New Yorkers continue to work on flattening the curve in response to the current pandemic. Many places are trying to figure out what will become the new normal now that the city has been changed due to COVID-19. According to @cnn, one hospitality group is throwing it back as they look to bring the joys of entertainment back to the city, but in a safer way.

Marco Shalma, the co-owner, spoke with CNN about the event, which is scheduled to take place in a parking lot outside of #YankeeStadium. He said,” It’s a food festival meets cultural event meets classic drive-in.
