Offset Says Joint Album With Quavo Honoring Takeoff Is “Possible”

Offset and Quavo’s relationship has seen its share of highs and lows, but the two appear to be on better terms. In a recent interview with Ebro Darden on Apple Music, Offset revealed that a joint album with Quavo in honor of the late Takeoff could happen.

“It’s possible,” Offset said, according to Billboard. “No conversations about that, though, but it’s possible. First, we’re just checking in with each other and see each other’s worlds: ‘You good?’”

Ebro recalled occasionally FaceTiming Offset over the years, sometimes challenging him to take accountability for his role in past conflicts. Offset admitted that it took time for him to accept responsibility. “I’ve accepted the actions I’ve done to cause certain situations to happen — I had to. But at first I didn’t. I was trying to act tough and like I didn’t give a f*ck at first. But the actions that I did in the time I was acting that way, I realized I was wrong. I realized I was wrong and had to get out of the way. I’m happy with everything and I want the best.”

Signs of reconciliation have surfaced before. Earlier this month, Offset appeared on 7PM in Brooklyn with Carmelo Anthony, where he confirmed that he and Quavo are in regular contact. “It be the internet trying to do some old sht, but with us, it ain’t about that,” he explained. “We gotta holla at each other in the day, at the end of the day, man. That’s family. You’re gonna bump heads with your family sometime. In the day, a n*** ain’t finna play with him, or a n**** ain’t finna play with me.”

While there is no confirmed plan for a collaborative album yet, Offset’s comments suggest that fans may one day see the two reunite in the studio to honor Takeoff’s memory. For now, both artists appear focused on maintaining their renewed connection and keeping family at the center of their relationship.
