Cardi B Reveals How “Big Paper” Was Almost Left Out On DJ Khaled New Album! DJ Khaled kick started the week by announcing his star-studded tracklist for his 12th studio album Khaled Khaled, featuring Nas, JAY-Z, Lil Wayne, Drake and many more. At the eleventh hour, the mega-producer announced that he had one more addition to the tracklist, saying that the Cardi B vocals had just come in, making his project to include a total of 14 songs.
Now the duo’s official collaboration “Big Paper” is finally out and it looks like mixtape Cardi is back- and with a vengeance for that matter. The Bronx superstar rapper from comes through with hard-hitting bars, spitting the quotable “Cardi this, Cardi that, make me more famous” among other bars. Moments after the song dropped, Cardi went live on her Instagram to speak to her fans and revealed why she was a late addition to the Khaled Khaled album.
“I didn’t think I was gonna make the record,” she said during the live stream. “I got the beat before yesterday and yes, I wrote the record!” She opens up about how she’s been feeling insecure about her accent while she’s rapping, doing everything possible to make sure that she was happy with the mix before turned it in for mastering. She shared her text messages with her engineer on Twitter last night, proving that the track was only turned in at around 7 AM on Thursday (April 29) morning. Needless to say, DJ Khaled didn’t have much time to spare but it’s a good thing they managed to beat the deadline.
