50 Cent Reveals Which Rappers Didn’t Make The Audition Cut For “BMF” Or “Power”

50 Cent Reveals Which Rappers Didn’t Make The Audition Cut For “BMF” Or “Power” – Now a two time NAACP Image Award holder, Power series executive producer Curtis “50 Cent” Jackson as he is known by his government name is a leader on the big screen these days.

50 Cent took home his second NAACP Image Award On March 25, for Outstanding Drama Series for the hit Starz series Power Book II: Ghost. Last year, 50 Cent bagged the Outstanding Director award in the Drama Series category for the inaugural series.

HipHopDX had the opportunity with 50 Cent to shed more light on his growing Starz catalog and bringing music artists like Method Man, Mary J. Blige, and Light Skin Keisha onboard for the latest season of Power. While at it, 50 name dropped a few surprising rappers who lined up for auditions for roles in Power and Black Mafia Family (BMF) but didn’t quite make the cut.

“Pardison Fontaine … he’s with Megan [Thee Stallion] right now and he’s a dope writer … one of the talented writers out there,” 50 Cent talks about past Power auditionees.

He then brought in a pair of rap stars to the mix saying, “Quavo … he read for one of the characters in BMF; Casanova read for the Omar character in BMF.”

Though Quavo has recently gone through a high-profile break-up with fellow rap star Saweetie amid his 30th birthday, his acting career is on another level. The Migos star is slated to make his film debut with Robert De Niro via the movie Wash Me In The River.

On the other hand, Roc Nation rapper Casanova doesn’t share the same good fortune. Earlier in the year, he found himself under arrest for an alleged firearm possession, racketeering conspiracy, and conspiracy to distribute controlled substances and remains behind bars as of press time.
