J. Cole Unveils Tracklist for The Fall-Off Ahead of Friday Release

J. Cole has revealed the full tracklist for his highly anticipated eighth and final album, The Fall-Off, set to drop this Friday, February 6. The double-disc project features 24 songs, including the previously released “The Fall-Off Is Inevitable,” which appeared on YouTube earlier this month as ‘Disc 2 Track 2’.

Disc 1, also known as Disc 29, includes tracks such as “Two Six,” “Legacy,” “Bombs in the Ville / Hit the Gas,” “Lonely at the Top,” and others, while Disc 2, or Disc 39, features songs like “The Villest,” “Old Dog,” “Only You,” and “and the whole world is the Ville,” a tribute to Cole’s hometown of Fayetteville, North Carolina.

Guest appearances and producers remain undisclosed, but the back cover confirms J. Cole, his manager Ibrahm “Ib” Hamad, and multi-platinum producer T-Minus as executive producers. The back cover also showcases posters of some of Cole’s childhood hip-hop heroes, including Eminem, 50 Cent, Common, RZA, and Canibus. Both the front and back cover photos were taken by Cole inside his childhood bedroom during his teenage years.

He explained that Disc 29 reflects his return to Fayetteville at age 29, navigating the intersections of love, craft, and home, while Disc 39 shows his perspective returning at 39, older and closer to inner peace.

He emphasized the personal significance of the visuals, noting that the album’s cover images were shot by him as a teenager and represent the artists and photographers who inspired him. Cole wrote, “When this album releases, please know that you, in some deeper metaphysical type way, are in the music too.”

The Fall-Off promises to close J. Cole’s discography with a reflective, hometown-centered narrative, combining personal storytelling with the lyrical precision fans have come to expect. The album releases this Friday, February 6.
