Yak Gotti Issues Public Apology to Lil Duke Amid Tensions

Yak Gotti has publicly reached out to his former collaborator, Lil Duke, offering an apology on Instagram. Sharing a screenshot of himself listening to their track, “Migo,” Gotti captioned the post: “Day 1 sht.” He followed up with a heartfelt message, writing, “To my n**a Duke, I still love ya broski. I apologize if I ever wronged ya.”
In another post, Gotti praised Gunna, adding, “U deserve yo flowers my G. Still with that when u ain’t lookin.” The posts were shared by No Jumper on Instagram, prompting fans to react. Some praised Gotti’s gesture, with one user commenting, “My nephew is a real one! We on some POSITIVE VIBES ish,” while another questioned the choice to handle the matter publicly, saying, “Relay that to him then why does everything have to be over social media.”
The relationship between Yak Gotti and Lil Duke has deteriorated despite their long history of collaborations. Earlier this year, Duke accused Gotti of allegedly cooperating with authorities. On X (formerly Twitter), Duke wrote, “Just heard this n**a say I broke his heart. [laughing emoji]. Ah n**a that was In there talking bout me like ah dog we understand you told the cops that was your gun but why tell them you gave it to me to get back at a rival (which was in my plea) those was your words smh you the weird one.”
Duke further detailed his side, noting, “Who was about to shoot dat choppa. Shid he was (which is me) I can’t shoot & drive [laughing emoji] p.s these are not my words I would never say dat… I ain’t see dat footage until 2023 yall sh*t broke my heart too.”
Yak Gotti is not the only YSL member to issue public apologies recently. Young Thug also released a song, “Miss My Dogs,” dedicated to making amends with several former collaborators, including Drake and Mariah The Scientist.
Gotti’s public gesture may mark a step toward reconciliation, signaling a willingness to mend fractured relationships within the music community.
