Tyler The Creator Named Apple Music Artist of the Year After Landmark 2025

Tyler The Creator has dominated rap in 2025, and Apple Music has recognized him as their Artist of the Year. The California rapper and producer has released multiple major projects this year, including CHROMAKOPIA and the surprise album DON’T TAP THE GLASS, cementing his position as one of the most influential creatives in music today.

CHROMAKOPIA marked Tyler’s biggest first-week sales, moving nearly 300,000 copies, and was supported by a massive world tour that continues into March 2026. The tour will reach Argentina, Chile, Costa Rica, Colombia, Brazil, Mexico, and Puerto Rico, with tickets selling at record pace. DON’T TAP THE GLASS, released in July, added another number-one debut, selling 197,000 units and continuing his streak of chart-topping projects.

Apple Music highlighted Tyler’s achievements, noting that between November 2024 and October 2025, his music accumulated over 4.5 billion minutes of worldwide listening, reaching record highs for plays, listeners, and hours streamed. Tyler shared his gratitude on Instagram, writing, “thank you. what a year,” alongside a video reflecting on the recognition.

In a statement, he added, “To everyone who listens to my music, thank you. This year, for my career, was the biggest so far. To be this year’s Apple Music Artist of the Year, it’s sick. I appreciate the love. I appreciate the recognition. It means a lot to me, especially for the music and things that I make.”

Tyler’s year is not yet over. His annual festival, Camp Flog Gnaw, will take place this weekend on November 22 and 23, after being postponed from the 15th and 16th due to a storm. With multiple albums, record-breaking tours, and festival appearances, Tyler The Creator’s 2025 stands as the most successful year of his career.
