Travis Scott Claims Two of Hip-Hop’s Highest-Certified Songs Amid Kendrick Lamar and Drake Feud

Travis Scott remains a rare neutral figure in the ongoing Kendrick Lamar and Drake rivalry, thriving alongside both artists without taking sides. His collaborations have earned him two of the highest-certified hip-hop songs of all time, highlighting his influence in the genre.
According to Kurrco on Twitter, 2018’s ASTROWORLD hit “SICKO MODE,” featuring Drake, has been certified 16 times platinum by the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA), reflecting over 16 million units sold. This matches Drake’s “God’s Plan” from Scorpion as the second highest-certified rap song ever. The top spot belongs to Travis Scott and Kendrick Lamar’s 2016 track “goosebumps” from Birds In The Trap Sing McKnight, completing the ironic trifecta of collaborations with both sides of 2024’s high-profile feud.
Certification updates could further shift rankings. For example, Kendrick Lamar’s “HUMBLE.” has sales that could make it 20 times platinum, but the RIAA has yet to certify it, keeping its official standing below Scott’s tracks.
Travis Scott continues to maintain his connections with both Drake and Kendrick Lamar. He shows public support for Drake, even amid the Lamar-Drake tensions. His relationship with Kendrick has always been more low-key, and while proximity to Future and Metro Boomin occasionally fuels speculation about conflicts, Scott has avoided stirring animosity.
Commercial milestones reinforce his dominance. Scott’s recent Johannesburg concert in South Africa drew over 70,000 fans, demonstrating the scale of his reach. His UTOPIA project, along with features on tracks like WE DON’T TRUST YOU, shows he focuses on his own artistry rather than rap rivalries.
With over a decade of success, Travis Scott continues to dominate the hip-hop landscape. His certified hits with both sides of one of the genre’s biggest feuds underscore his unique position and suggest more milestones are likely in the coming years.
