Drake Sets New Spotify Records and Prepares for ICEMAN Release

Drake continues to dominate the music industry, achieving record-breaking milestones in 2025. The Toronto rapper has already amassed over 13 billion streams this year alone on Spotify, putting 2025 on track to become his biggest year on the platform.

This milestone comes shortly after Drake became the first artist in Spotify history to surpass 120 billion total streams. He now leads streaming counts by a wide margin, ahead of Travis Scott with roughly 59 billion streams and The Weeknd at 84 billion. These numbers solidify Drake’s status as one of the most streamed artists ever.

Beyond streaming, Drake has been touring with PartyNextDoor to promote his project $ome $exy $ongs 4 U. The tour concluded in Germany, where he delivered a heartfelt message to fans. He said, “Like I said, this is the greatest tour I’ve ever been on in my life. I’m so thankful to be here with each and every one of y’all.” The tour further reinforced his global appeal and ability to draw large audiences.

Drake is also preparing to release his ninth studio album, ICEMAN. The project has been teased for months, and although an official release date has not been confirmed, it is expected later this year. Social media activity suggests a launch is imminent, with Drake recently liking an Instagram comment hinting the album is coming “soon.”

Fans have already heard tracks linked to the project, including “Which One” featuring Central Cee and “Dog House” with Julia Wolf and Yeat. The lead single, “What Did I Miss?,” released in July, addresses former friends who turned on him during his viral conflict with Kendrick Lamar, showing that Drake continues to blend personal narratives with his music.

With record-breaking streams, a successful tour, and a highly anticipated album, Drake shows no signs of slowing down. 2025 is shaping up to be one of the defining years of his career.
