Diddy Launches “Free Game” Business Class for Inmates at Brooklyn Detention Center

Sean “Diddy” Combs recently launched a six-week business course called “Free Game” for fellow inmates at the Metropolitan Detention Center in Brooklyn, New York. His attorneys confirmed the initiative in a court filing, highlighting the program’s educational focus and impact.
According to his lawyers, Diddy created a 15-page curriculum covering business management, entrepreneurship, and personal development. The course included a Spanish interpreter to ensure accessibility. They noted that MDC offers no other educational programs, making Diddy’s class particularly significant for inmates seeking practical skills.
Diddy plans to expand the program in the future. His attorneys wrote that he intends to refine the curriculum and implement it on a larger scale after his release, extending access to youth in the community and other state-operated facilities. The goal is to provide structured guidance in business and personal growth to underserved populations.
The mention of “Free Game” appeared in a broader legal memo advocating for a lenient sentence. Diddy’s attorneys emphasized that he has used his time in one of America’s most notorious jails productively. They argued that a sentence no longer than 14 months would be sufficient, allowing him to return to his family and continue his work.
The filing also included character letters from celebrities and family members, including Yung Miami and Stevie J, attesting to Diddy’s positive impact and leadership qualities. The program reinforces his commitment to giving back, even while serving time, and highlights his ongoing influence beyond the music and entertainment industries.
