LeBron James Praises Gunna’s New Album “WUNNA” Amid Mixed Reviews

LeBron James has long been a fan of rapper Gunna. He has shared videos of himself listening to Gunna’s music and supported his albums on social media. Gunna also appeared on James’s show, The Shop, in 2022 with Rick Ross, A’ja Wilson, and Steve Stoute.

Recently, James took to X (formerly Twitter) to praise Gunna’s latest album, “WUNNA.” He tweeted, “WUNNA!!!! Man o man! You don’t miss,” followed by a salute emoji and five fire emojis.

The tweet went semi-viral, gaining nearly 38,000 likes. However, reactions were mixed. Many replies included jokes and memes referencing the album’s mixed reception since its August 8 release. One top reply showed Young Thug’s famous tweet saying, “boy slow down dropping all that BS music.” Another featured a clip of LeBron seemingly overstating his prediction of Kobe Bryant’s 81-point game.

LeBron was not the only veteran celebrity to praise the album. 50 Cent posted on Instagram calling it “hard” and shared an AI-generated photo of himself on an airport tarmac with a Rolls-Royce.

“WUNNA” marks Gunna’s final album with YSL Records. This follows his falling out with mentor Young Thug after a years-long RICO trial. Gunna took a plea deal in December 2022, which ended his involvement early. Fans have speculated about a possible diss toward former friend Lil Baby on the album, though nothing is confirmed.

The release symbolizes the end of Gunna’s near decade-long run with YSL Records. Despite mixed reviews, LeBron James appears ready to keep supporting Gunna’s music moving forward.
