Pusha T Slams Travis Scott, Calls Him “A Whore” Over Loyalty Issues and Drake Drama

Pusha T has reignited tensions in hip-hop, taking direct aim at Travis Scott in a fiery new interview with GQ. The Virginia rapper confirmed that recent lyrics from the new Clipse track So Be It were not aimed at former ally Kanye West—as fans speculated—but rather at Travis, whom he now labels a “whore” for what he calls repeated disloyalty and opportunistic behavior.

Pusha explained that the beef stems from an incident in Paris during a studio session with Pharrell Williams. According to him, Scott unexpectedly showed up to play music from his new album. While appearing friendly and excited—“doing his fucking monkey dance,” as Pusha put it—Scott withheld the verse from Drake’s Meltdown, a track that would go on to diss Pharrell and stir controversy.

“The true context of that is we were in Paris, literally working, and he was calling to play P his new album,” Pusha said. “He came to [Pharrell’s] studio. He interrupted a session. He sees me and Malice there. He’s like, ‘Oh, man, everybody’s here,’ he’s smiling, laughing, jumping around… And then a week later you hear Meltdown, which he didn’t play. He played the song, but not [Drake’s verse].”

The rapper went on to express how this wasn’t the first time Scott has played both sides. “He’s done this a lot. He has no picks. He’ll do this with anybody. He did it with Sicko Mode,” referencing the infamous track where Drake takes shots at Kanye West—Scott’s longtime collaborator and mentor—without apparent pushback.

For Pusha, it’s not just about loyalty to West or Pharrell, it’s about principle. “I personally have been removed from that crew and those people for a minute. So, that’s where my issue comes in—like, dawg, don’t even come over here with that, because at the end of the day, I don’t play how y’all play,” he said. “To me, that really was just like…he’s a whore. He’s a whore.”

Pusha didn’t stop there. He suggested that Scott’s track record with Kanye, Pharrell, and himself shows a consistent pattern of backstabbing and disloyalty. “I’ve already dealt with the lack of loyalty [to his] mentor, the guy he looks up to,” he said. “I’ve been dealing with the corny shit that goes along with them. So it’s like, I’m in a whole ’nother place. Don’t bring that over to my house.”

He made it clear that he’s been focused on his own path, far removed from the drama. “I’ve really been in Paris. I’ve really been making my joints. I’ve really been doing my shit,” he said.

Wrapping up, Pusha made one final, cutting remark: “It’s the principle of what I’m saying. That filthy quality that they have about themselves, that lack of loyalty. Travis really has that. He’s proven. I just named three people that he does that type of behavior with. I’m just not one of them. Dog, I ain’t with that. This shit ain’t coming out of nowhere.”

As of now, Travis Scott has not responded to Pusha T’s explosive comments. Whether this will escalate further or remain a one-sided war of words remains to be seen, but one thing is clear: the tension in hip-hop’s upper echelon has once again hit boiling point.
