SZA Enters the Beauty Industry with New Brand ‘Not Beauty’ Ahead of Tour with Kendrick Lamar

SZA has officially stepped into the world of beauty with the launch of her very own brand, Not Beauty. The Grammy-winning singer unveiled the new venture just ahead of her highly anticipated joint Grand National Tour with Kendrick Lamar, which kicks off on April 19.
The debut release from Not Beauty is a trio of lip glosses — the same products the singer has been subtly showcasing in recent months during major public appearances, including the Super Bowl halftime show. Known for her signature pout and effortless aesthetic, SZA is now sharing her secret weapon with fans.
In an interview with Vogue, SZA explained the motivation behind the brand. “I’m not a beauty maven, but I know lips,” she said. “I know what I like, and I’m diligent about finding the best quality ingredients. I wanted to fill a need with something that works for me and that I use daily.”
She also shared her philosophy behind the name Not Beauty, which aims to defy expectations. “[It] was representative of a reminder of: Don’t try to be these other brands, don’t try to be anything,” she explained. “Don’t just make a random celebrity brand just because you can. My whole life is about being pressure-free but still trying your best, and that’s what Not is about.”
For now, the lip glosses will be available exclusively through pop-up activations on the Grand National Tour. SZA made the announcement via Instagram, writing:
“YALL ASKED FOR THE LIP COMBO AND ITS FINALLY HERE !!! I REPEAT THE LIP PRODUCTS IVE BEEN WEARING AND WORKING ON FOR YEARS ARE FINALLY HERE FOR EVERYONE TO TRY !!! Available only at ‘NOT BEAUTY’ pop up activations on the GNX Tour!”
The limited-edition release is already building buzz, especially as fans gear up for the tour that will see Kendrick and SZA hit major cities including Houston, Philadelphia, Chicago, Las Vegas, San Francisco, and their hometowns of Los Angeles and St. Louis. The tour wraps on June 18 in Landover, MD and includes two highly anticipated stops in Toronto.
Joining the duo on the road is acclaimed producer Mustard, who recently announced his participation as the only supporting act revealed so far.
SZA also made headlines earlier this month during her appearance on Jimmy Kimmel Live!, where the host playfully asked if she was worried about performing in Drake’s home city of Toronto. The singer responded with her usual charm and humor, feigning confusion: “Who knows who?”
With a new beauty brand, a blockbuster tour, and a slew of upcoming performances, SZA is proving that her creative reach extends far beyond music — and Not Beauty is just the beginning.
