Kodak Black Quietly Pays Rent for Over 200 Families in Florida Housing Community

Kodak Black is once again proving that his heart is as big as his music catalog. The Florida rapper has quietly stepped in to cover rent for over 200 residents at the Golden Acres housing community in Pompano Beach — and it’s not the first time.
Over the weekend, a heartfelt post about Kodak’s generous gesture began circulating online. A man, who appeared to be either a resident or staff member at Golden Acres, revealed that this was the second consecutive month Kodak has paid the rent for the entire neighborhood.
“He may not want the limelight, but for the 2nd month straight @KodakBlack has paid the rent for over 200 residents in Golden Acres — the entire projects!” he wrote. “A lot of people shine light on the negativity. I’ma see how many people share the positive things you do, fam. You’re a blessing to a lot of people. Thank you!!”
This act of kindness is just one of many in a long history of philanthropy from Kodak Black. Back in 2022, he helped 28 families avoid eviction by covering their outstanding rent balances and even paid for several more months of rent to ensure their stability.
“28 Families Was Bout To Get Evicted For Being Behind On Their Rent A Few Months,” Kodak wrote at the time. “I Paid What They Owed And Also Paid Their Rents For The Next Few Months So They Good For The Remaining Of The Year.”
In 2021, the rapper, whose real name is Bill K. Kapri, also made headlines when he donated 100 air conditioning units to residents in Golden Acres. Many of the recipients were overwhelmed with emotion, moved by the unexpected generosity. Kodak partnered with Francky Pierre of the Philanthropic Work and Outreach organization to help execute the donation.
Despite his reputation in the rap game, Kodak has repeatedly emphasized that his focus has shifted away from chasing a tough image. In 2023, he made a statement during an Instagram Live session, saying, “People care to be a gangsta, they care for n-ggas looking at them like they some type of gangsta. I don’t give a fuck about that shit you heard me? I don’t live for that. I’m a philanthropist, a good n-gga, righteous, all that. I only worry about being a good son and making sure my mom is proud of me. Making sure my family proud of me.”
Kodak Black may not always seek the spotlight for his good deeds, but his ongoing efforts to uplift his community speak volumes. Whether it’s helping families stay in their homes or providing basic comforts, he’s continuing to show that actions speak louder than words — and that giving back is truly part of who he is.
