The Game and Kanye West Tease Upcoming Album The Documentary 3
Kanye West has teamed up with The Game to produce and direct a new preview for the latter’s upcoming album, The Documentary 3. On Tuesday, The Game took to Instagram to share a teaser featuring a snippet of a track with a guest appearance from Jim Jones. The trailer builds anticipation before ending with a man in a ski mask and safety vest referencing The Game’s past interactions with Tina Knowles, the mother of Beyoncé.
Kanye West’s Role in The Documentary 3
This isn’t the first time The Game has confirmed his collaboration with Kanye West on the long-awaited album. Earlier this month, he revealed via Instagram that Ye had given him the creative spark he needed to complete the project.
“Ye just gave me the vibe I needed to complete #TheDocumentary3,” The Game wrote. He added, “If you think for yourself, they call you crazy. If you speak on the mistreatment of the lower-tier life livers from the higher-ups, they try to silence you. You go against the mass agenda, they try & blackball you. And if you tell the truth in a world full of lies… you’re the liar.”
Kanye West’s Bully Album
The Game isn’t the only one with a major project on the way. Kanye West is also gearing up for the release of his next solo studio album, Bully. During an interview with Justin Laboy, West confirmed that the album is set to drop in celebration of his daughter North’s birthday in June. He also revealed that his son, Saint, was the inspiration behind the album’s title.
“My son was playing with some kid and then he kicked him,” West recalled. “I asked my son, I said, ‘Why did you do that?’ And he said, ‘Cause he weak.’ And I was like, ‘This man is really a bully right here.’ Don’t Saint do that? Just kick everybody and like push them over.”
Jim Jones’ At The Church Steps
Beyond The Documentary 3 and Bully, Jim Jones is also set to release a new album this Friday, February 28th, titled At The Church Steps. In a recent interview with TMZ, Jones shared insights about the project, saying, “There’s a lot of good music on there. I talk about a lot of real situations that have been going on in my life.”
With major releases from The Game, Kanye West, and Jim Jones on the horizon, hip-hop fans have plenty to look forward to in the coming months.
