NBA YoungBoy Fans Left Waiting as Slime Cry Album Faces Delay

NBA YoungBoy capped 2025 with a flurry of releases, features, and a solo tour, keeping fans constantly engaged. Despite this prolific output, his supporters were eager for one final project to close out the year.

From October 16 to November 27, the Louisiana rapper promised fans a new album titled Slime Cry, scheduled to drop on Black Friday, November 28. The announcement came during his Make America Slime Again tour via Instagram.

However, fans who stayed up past midnight were met with disappointment. Many took to X to express frustration. One user wrote, “Thanks for ruining my thanksgiving @GGYOUNGBOY,” while another added, “I’ve had my plate in the fridge for over 6 hours in hopes of you dropping tonight so I can eat while simultaneously blessing my ears with slime cry. F*ck you Kentrell.”

The Game remained silent on the delay until the following day, posting on X, “Oh you want my album I forgot, Loading….,,” signaling the release was postponed.

Recent updates suggest fans will need more patience. In a new Instagram post, YoungBoy cryptically stated, “Slime cry ‘I don’t think loading’ 😔,” indicating that the album’s release is still uncertain. Despite the news, fan reactions leaned toward excitement rather than disappointment, with fire emojis flooding the comments.

2025 has been a productive year for the 26-year-old rapper. He headlined a financially successful U.S. tour and released two albums. Make America Slime Again, which hit digital platforms on July 25, marked his return after a prison stint and generated controversy for partially dedicating it to Donald Trump following a federal pardon in May.

He also dropped a joint tape, DESHAWN, hosted by DJ Khaled on August 12. While it was a pleasant surprise, it did not perform strongly on the charts.

For now, fans will have to wait for a confirmed release date for Slime Cry. NBA YoungBoy’s prolific output in 2025 has kept momentum high, but the year ends with anticipation and uncertainty over his next move.
