Offset Admits to Cheating on Cardi B, Says He “Should’ve Respected Her Way More”

Offset has opened up about his past mistakes in his marriage to Cardi B, admitting that his actions led to the downfall of their relationship. During an interview on Baby, This Is Keke Palmer on Tuesday (October 7), the rapper confessed to “stepping out” on his wife and acknowledged he “should’ve respected her way more.”

“I was definitely not perfect in the situation,” Offset said. “I made a lot of mistakes. There’s a lot of things that I did wrong.” He added that while neither he nor Cardi were flawless, having their marriage constantly under public scrutiny made everything worse.

Offset explained that he takes full accountability for his behavior. “I should’ve respected her way more, you know what I mean? I made bad decisions as a man, like stepping out,” he said. “That’s why when she left, I had to take that on the chin. I was being selfish, you know what I mean? And I can say that as a man. I’m a grown man.”

The “KIARI” rapper also reflected on how social media played a role in their relationship struggles. “I done got out of pocket a couple of times because, bro, you feel like you’re getting bullied,” he admitted. “I used to never say nothing, but the narrative can be nasty sometimes, so you feel like you gotta defend yourself.”

Cardi B filed for divorce from Offset in 2024 while pregnant with their third child, marking the second time she sought to end the marriage. Offset confirmed that the divorce has not yet been finalized but said he is ready for it to be over. “I’m at peace with it,” he shared. “I made mistakes, and now I just want to move forward.”

The former couple shares three children, including their youngest daughter, Blossom, born in September 2024. Cardi has since moved on and is expecting another child with NFL player Stefon Diggs.

Offset’s candid remarks mark one of the first times he has publicly taken responsibility for his infidelity and the breakdown of his marriage. Fans online have noted a more reflective and mature tone from the rapper, suggesting he may be focused on personal growth as he closes this chapter of his life.

While Offset prepares for his next musical era under his KIARI moniker, his recent statements show he’s equally determined to rebuild his personal life with accountability and honesty.
