Lil Baby Set to Drop New Album The Leaks on September 5

Lil Baby is officially preparing to release his long-awaited album The Leaks on Friday, September 5. The project, initially expected to arrive on August 15, will feature 17 tracks and a star-studded lineup of collaborators.

The guest list includes Playboi Carti, Young Thug, Lil Yachty, G Herbo, LUCKI, Veeze, Rylo Rodriguez, Skooly, and Bino. Production duties are handled by Wheezy, Murda Beatz, TM88, BabyWave, and several others. With this combination, fans can expect a blend of mainstream appeal and underground energy.

As the name suggests, The Leaks will officially package songs that have circulated unofficially online for years. Many longtime listeners are excited about the decision. On Reddit, one fan wrote, “Very happy an artist is doing this—can’t make money in songs you don’t release. I’m a huge fan of Lil Baby, and I’ve been listening to a lot of these leaks unofficially for years.” Another user pointed out the potential of track 14, “Get Along,” featuring Lil Yachty, LUCKI, and Veeze, saying, “Nice seeing a mainstream posse cut for once.”

Controversy may also follow the release. Rumors suggest that track 10, “Otha Boy,” contains subliminal shots at Gunna and Offset. In one leaked bar, Baby allegedly raps: “Make a rapper take his clothes off, that boy a male stripper / Push up on ’em at the gym, I hope a n**** do they push-ups.” Gunna’s recent fitness transformation has made him a target for speculation, fueling talk of possible tension.

Despite the drama, The Leaks is only part of Lil Baby’s 2025 rollout. During a livestream with PlaqueBoyMax last month, he revealed plans for another album shortly after this one. “I’m actually dropping two albums, though. I’m dropping another album, like, four weeks after that, something like that. ’Cause I wasn’t planning on dropping this one,” he said.

With The Leaks arriving this Friday and another project on the horizon, Lil Baby appears ready to dominate the final stretch of 2025. Fans will be watching closely to see how he blends the long-circulating tracks with new material and whether the rumored disses ignite fresh industry drama.
