Drake Drops “Dog House” With Yeat and Julia Wolf and Takes Subtle Shot at Kendrick Lamar

Drake has released another new track, just days after his previous single, featuring Yeat and singer Julia Wolf. The song, titled “Dog House,” was teased on Drake’s recent Iceman livestream before its official release.
The track contains a pointed line seemingly aimed at Kendrick Lamar. Referencing Lamar’s hit “Money Trees,” Drake raps: “Fuck a money tree, I’m a cash cow / If I ain’t give a fuck then, I don’t give a fuck now.” The song also features multiple name-drops and cultural references, including Ja Morant, Nicki Minaj, Kriss Kross, and The Notorious B.I.G.
In addition to lyrical jabs, the release comes amid ongoing discussions around Drake’s relationship with Young Thug. While in jail, Thugger accused Drake of not doing enough to help secure his release. In a leaked phone call, Young Thug said: “Drake, you Drake, go talk to the president… Go pardon him, go do something… Don’t call me talking about, ‘Fix something’ for you to have a song from a n-gga. Man, ain’t nobody give a fuck about no song.”
Drake has not publicly responded to Thug’s comments. Last year, he reportedly gifted Young Thug $1 million after Thug’s release on a plea deal.
Recent leaked calls have also stirred controversy for Young Thug personally. One call revealed he admitted to cheating on his girlfriend, Mariah The Scientist, shortly before his May 2022 arrest. Following the leak, Thug apologized publicly on X, writing: “My baby I was wrong and I’m sorry for what I put u through. U deserved better from me… Please give her peace.”
“Dog House” reinforces Drake’s ability to remain culturally relevant while blending collaborations, social commentary, and subtle rivalries into his music.
