Yeat Announces Surprise EP Dangerous Summer, Dropping August 1st

Rising rap star Yeat is set to heat up the charts again with the release of a surprise EP titled Dangerous Summer, arriving this Friday, August 1st, via Capitol Records. The announcement came out of nowhere on Monday, when Yeat took to Instagram to reveal the project’s striking cover art, reportedly shot by iconic filmmaker and photographer Harmony Korine.

In true Yeat fashion, the post came with a bold and minimal caption: “NO ROLL OUT. NO DELUXË.” The cryptic message suggests that fans shouldn’t expect a traditional promo campaign, leaving many wondering if there will be any teasers or a tracklist reveal before release day.

Despite the lack of details, fans were quick to flood the comments section with excitement. Some called Yeat their “glorious king,” while others echoed the project’s title, declaring it’s going to be a “dangerous summer.” Fire emojis and all-caps comments dominated the responses, reflecting the anticipation surrounding the EP.

While the tracklist remains under wraps, Yeat has been generating buzz with recent collaborations, including “IM YEAT,” a single produced by BNYX. The song’s confident lyrics and futuristic production have fueled speculation that BNYX may have a hand in the new EP as well. BNYX himself dropped a comment on the announcement post, further hinting at his involvement.

Dangerous Summer will be Yeat’s first release since A Dangerous Lyfe, his sixth studio album, which dropped earlier this year. Known for his genre-blurring sound and cult-like following, Yeat continues to carve his own path in the rap scene with projects that defy convention and industry norms.

In addition to music, Yeat has been making moves in the fast-food world. He recently partnered with Taco Bell to give fans the opportunity to create their own signature menu item. The collaboration introduced the “YeatWrap,” a bold twist on the Crunchwrap Supreme that swaps in steak for beef, ditches the tomatoes, and adds a creamy jalapeño sauce.

“This isn’t just customization,” said Taco Bell CMO Taylor Montgomery. “It’s about creating something that’s perfectly theirs, and maybe even inspiring someone else’s new favorite.” Yeat’s Taco Bell venture follows previous campaigns with stars like Lil Nas X and Doja Cat, further cementing his crossover appeal.

With Dangerous Summer dropping in just days and fans on edge for what’s next, Yeat is once again proving he doesn’t need a traditional rollout to dominate headlines—or playlists.
