Drake Cancels Australia and New Zealand Tour Dates, Offers Refunds Amid “Iceman” Rollout

Drake has officially canceled the Australia and New Zealand tour dates that were initially postponed back in February. At the time, the Toronto rapper cited a “scheduling conflict” and assured fans that the shows would be rescheduled. His representatives even noted that he was “actively working on rescheduling these dates along with adding some additional shows.” However, five months later, the plans have been scrapped entirely, and fans are now being issued full refunds.

Live Nation Australia confirmed the cancellation in a new statement, explaining that despite persistent efforts, the team couldn’t make the new dates work within the required timeframe. “Despite extensive efforts to find a solution, rescheduling within the necessary timeframe was not possible,” the company said. “Drake remains committed to returning and performing these shows when his schedule permits.” Refund information is being sent directly to ticket holders via email.

This development comes as Drake continues his international performances, most recently headlining multiple nights at London’s Wireless Festival. During one of his shows, he surprised fans by bringing out UK rapper Central Cee for the live debut of their collaborative single, “Which One.” The energetic performance marked the pair’s first time performing the track together, solidifying their new musical partnership.

“Which One” has quickly gained traction and is on track for a high debut on the Billboard Hot 100. According to Talk of the Charts, the single is expected to land in the top 10, which would make it Drake’s 84th top ten hit—extending his record for the most top 10s in Billboard history. The song initially premiered during a livestream episode Drake hosted to promote his upcoming album, Iceman, a project that has generated massive buzz in recent weeks.

Prior to “Which One,” Drake released the album’s first single, “What Did I Miss?” on July 5. That track made headlines for its pointed lyrics aimed at former friends and NBA stars DeMar DeRozan and LeBron James. “I saw bro went to Pop Out with them, but been dick riding gang since ‘Headlines,’” Drake raps, a direct reference to his fallout with the two after they attended Kendrick Lamar’s Pop Out concert.

While the cancellation of his Oceania tour leg is undoubtedly disappointing for fans, Drake’s ongoing rollout of Iceman and his presence on major festival stages suggest he’s fully focused on delivering one of the year’s biggest rap albums. As fans await news of rescheduled dates, it’s clear that Drake isn’t slowing down—he’s just shifting gears.
