50 Cent Criticizes Diddy’s Legal Team Over Handling of Sex Trafficking Trial

Hip-hop mogul 50 Cent has publicly taken aim at Sean “Diddy” Combs’ legal team for their performance during the high-profile sex trafficking trial. The rapper did not hold back in his criticism, particularly targeting attorney Marc Agnifilo and his conduct during the trial’s closing statements.
On Instagram, 50 Cent wrote, “Damn they did Diddy dirty them closing statements man, I could have done better than that. How much he pay them lawyers?” His blunt remarks sparked conversations online about the defense team’s strategy and effectiveness.
In a post that has since been deleted, 50 Cent doubled down, writing, “She didn’t have the worst lawyer, You are the worst lawyer. Remember the name Marc Agnifilo. He just got Diddy ass 20 years.” This harsh assessment implies that 50 holds Agnifilo largely responsible for what appears to be an unfavorable outcome for Diddy.
Earlier, 50 Cent had advised Diddy to consider hiring Joe Tacopina, a well-known defense lawyer who represents high-profile clients including ASAP Rocky, former President Donald Trump, and baseball star Alex Rodriguez. On Instagram, 50 commented, “If Diddy can get Joe he might beat this case but he gonna have to pay a lot of money, there’s no time to prepare!”
Tacopina confirmed in interviews that Diddy had reached out to him prior to the trial but declined to take the case. Speaking to The Breakfast Club, Tacopina said, “I was asked to take a look at the case, that’s another case I said I was not interested in.” He later explained that his close ties with Roc Nation and Jay-Z played a part in his decision: “I represent Roc Nation; a lot of people in Roc I’m very close with… Jay is amazing. You know, Jay Brown, all those people are just, like, they really are special, special people. That’s sort of family to me and I don’t think they see eye-to-eye with P. Diddy.”
Tacopina also dismissed suggestions that Jay-Z and Diddy share a close relationship, noting, “Everyone wants a picture with P. Diddy, at one time or another, when they went to a party.”
In response to mounting criticism and the trial’s complexity, Diddy eventually added Brian Steel to his legal team. Steel gained prominence last year as Young Thug’s lead attorney during his RICO trial, which concluded with a plea deal that secured the rapper’s release.
As the legal battle continues to unfold, 50 Cent’s public commentary highlights ongoing debates about Diddy’s defense strategy and the impact it may have on the trial’s outcome. Fans and observers alike will be watching closely as this case moves forward.
