Lil Baby Slams Leaks as Fans Await Long-Delayed ‘Dominique’ Album

Atlanta rap heavyweight Lil Baby is growing increasingly frustrated as his unreleased music continues to surface online without his consent. Taking to social media, the rapper didn’t mince words: “Damn y’all just gone keep leaking my songs!!” he wrote, expressing his disappointment and anger over the situation.

While he didn’t specify which tracks were leaked, fans quickly speculated the material might be from his long-anticipated album Dominique, which was initially slated for release back in February. With no official release date announced and months of silence, the delays have only fueled impatience—and apparently, leaks.

The Drip Too Hard hitmaker previously described Dominique as his most personal and mature work to date. He shared that the album would dive deeper into his emotions and life journey, setting it apart from previous releases. “Just more heartfelt and more direct with talking about certain subjects,” he said. “I just was damn near warming up again [on WHAM], and Dominique is more strategic. Dominique is more of a grown sound.”

Lil Baby explained that both WHAM and Dominique represent evolving personas, with WHAM acting as a bridge between the youthful Lil Baby and the introspective Dominique. “Lil Baby is something I created. But I kind of grew out of that stage,” he said. “WHAM is in the middle of Lil Baby and Dominique. So Dominique gonna be like the more 30-year-old me.”

Originally, he had planned to drop the self-titled Dominique album first, but had a change of heart. “Even though I’ve grown and I had a dramatic change, I ain’t really bring the fans along with me,” he explained. “So they don’t really know what I went through or what I’m going through. To just go from Lil Baby to Dominique, I feel like that would’ve been too big of a jump for them. So I had to come back and tighten it up a little bit and ease their way into it.”

According to Baby, the rollout will include two separate but connected albums—WHAM and Dominique—in what could be interpreted as a double album narrative. While WHAM dropped in January to commercial success, debuting at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 with 140,000 equivalent units sold in its first week, Dominique remains in limbo.

In March, Baby told fans the album would be arriving in eight weeks, but that deadline has long since passed, and no new release date has been confirmed.

Despite the setbacks, anticipation for Dominique remains high. Lil Baby recently announced his WHAM World Tour, enlisting fellow artists like NLE Choppa and BigXthaPlug, suggesting he’s still preparing for a major album cycle.

Until then, fans are left waiting—and Baby is left fuming—as the internet continues to test his patience with leaks he clearly didn’t authorize.
