Drake Teases “National Treasure” and Updates Fans on ICEMAN Release

Over the weekend, Drake joined popular streamer BenDaDonnn for a livestream, offering fans an exciting glimpse into his upcoming ninth solo studio album, ICEMAN. During the session, Drake shared calming updates, confirming that the project is expected to arrive early next year.

One of the highlights of the livestream was the tease of a track titled “National Treasure.” For longtime fans, the title may sound familiar. The song had previously leaked online through crypto streamers BagWork, though the origins of the leak were unclear. DJ Akademiks provided some insight, explaining that the song was initially promised to rapper Pressa.

“This is why I think the song got leaked, truth be told. I think the song was supposedly promised to Pressa. Drake, obviously he’s been doing his own thing, he didn’t clear the song. They thought the song was gonna come out ’cause they thought he was gonna do a video. But he was doing ‘100 Gigs.’ He drops the supposed video with ‘No Face,’ the song never got cleared,” Akademiks said.

The leak generated significant buzz, despite Drake’s frustration over the early release. Fans were drawn to the track’s clever one-liners, including a subtle jab at NBA star DeMar DeRozan:

“We used to be plannin’ our Mexico trip in the spring / We must’ve been dealin’ the spur of the moment / Cause why did we think you could get us a ring?”

At the time of the leak, Drake appeared annoyed when discussing the situation with Adin Ross, expressing confusion about who was responsible for the leak. However, the recent livestream suggests that “National Treasure” will officially appear on ICEMAN, as Drake previewed his first verse on his own terms.

The exact release date for ICEMAN has not been announced, but Drake reassured fans during the stream, stating, “I know what you’re waiting on, trust me, we cheffin.’”

Fans can expect more updates and teasers in the coming weeks as Drake builds momentum toward the album’s launch. The combination of exclusive previews and Drake’s signature storytelling continues to fuel anticipation for what promises to be a major release in early 2026.
