[Watch] Lil Wayne Joins Fousheé For New Song And Video “Gold Fronts”

Lil Wayne Joins Fousheé For New Song And Video “Gold Fronts”! At the beginning the year, Fousheé and Lil Wayne joined forces for their “Ain’t Got Time” track. Since then, it appears that one song wasn’t enough, and now they have teamed up again to share the freshly released “gold fronts” music video. The new video directed by Edgar Esteves and co-directed by Jon Primo, sees the two take a trip to their favorite corner store as Lil Wayne delivers his verse, using repetition to put his message across:

“They can’t take my gold fronts, they can’t take these white cups that I just poured up/ They can’t take these gold teeth. They can’t take this gold leaf that I just rolled up/ They can’t take my gold blunt”

During a conversation with Zane Lowe on Apple Music regarding how the collaboration came to be, Fousheé revealed that she got his verse after showing him “Gold Fronts” in peson.

“It started with Wayne DMed me, just showing love,” she says. “I threw out the idea to work and he was with it. And I was so shocked. This is someone that I listen to him. I was just like… This is what a lot of those moments where I’m just like… There’s nothing like…. I got my sound effects too. That was planned. Yeah. So he agreed to work.”

She added, “I went to Miami, I got there. It was just like, ‘What we working on?’ And I was so shocked because I’m like, ‘What? What? No, wait, wait. I’m just a bit like, can I just play some music first off?’ Played him a whole bunch of music. He played me some music. And I was like, ‘Wow. Can I do something to one of your songs?’ So I ended up recording to his songs and it took me so long to write. Because I was just like sweating.”

Last year, Lil Wayne delivered a slew of releases including his 13th studio album Funeral (as well its deluxe upgrade), Tha Carter V (Deluxe), and the 3rd installment of his No Ceilings mixtape series. Hosted by DJ Khaled, No Ceilings 3 was released in two parts, Side A and Side B, making for a total of 34 cuts and plentiful collaborations with Drake, Big Sean, Rich The Kid, Young Thug, and more.
