Jay Z Roasts Snowfall Actor Damson Idris Over Blunder During Zoom Call! During a recent appearance on Good Morning America, Snowfall Actor Damson Idris gave a hilarious story on how Jay-Z roasted him during a Zoom call. The British actor, who plays drug dealer Franklin Saint in the hit FX series, was apparently not aware he’d be on the video call with the Grammy-award-winning rapper and ultimately didn’t dress up for the occasion. As he explained to Robin Roberts on Good Morning America, he got on the call to celebrate the birthday of Roc Nation senior vice president of A&R, Lenny S. The story was told amid news that Jay-Z’s Net Worth had risen By 40% After Tidal & Champagne Brand Sales.
The actor says he wasn’t familiar with Zoom at the moment and he thought the call would only have up to four people. To his surprise, there were at least 40 People when he joined on the call most of who were celebrities. For that reason, a shirtless Idris got roasted by Jay-Z. The actor recalled the awkward moment saying:
‘At the start of the pandemic I didn’t know what Zoom was. I was a Skype guy. ‘So my friend says, “Jump on Zoom, it’s our friend Lennie’s birthday”. So I jump on the Zoom and immediately everyone’s laughing because I’m topless, I thought there was gonna be four people in there – there’s 40 people in there.’ Breaking into an incredibly impressive impersonation of Jay Z’s accent, Damson continued: ‘I hear a distinctive voice and [he’s] like, “Eh man, this man’s in here topless with his nipples out and he got the grey headboard. Who’s in charge of the Zoom? Yo, Shafer you in charge of the Zoom? Yeah, you see that guy Damson? Kick him out”. ‘I’m like Damson? I’m Damson! I start covering my nipples. I’m scrolling across and I’m like, there’s not four people in here, there’s 40 people and they’re all celebrities. There’s Meek Mill, Dave Chappelle, Kevin Hart, Michael B Jordan, Tiffany Haddish. ‘The list just keeps going on and I land on the distinctive voice’s face and it’s Jay Z. I am sweating, I’m so nervous.’
The 29 year-old-actor thought he could have his way out of the incident by getting a hoodie and announcing he was heading to bed. However, Jay Z grabbed the opportunity for a proper roasting session making Damson sweat even more. Damson continued: ‘Jay Z’s like, “Okay, so you wear a hoodie to bed? You busy like you said, you in London so obviously it’s Lennie’s birthday so why don’t you just give your little speech and be on your way”.’
