In what appears like a show of allegiance his followers sometimes, are so loyal that they often tend to jump the gun.
Just yesterday, Tuesday 9 March, Cardi B’s smash hit single, “Bodak Yellow,” was certified diamond. The track made history, becoming the first ever single to be certified diamond by a female rapper. In this case, Cardi B made history as the first female rapper to earn a diamond Single With “Bodak Yellow”. The RIAA made the announcement official by adding the diamond plaque to their site’s database and later congratulated Cardi with a tweet yesterday morning (Tuesday March 9). As known to many, “Bodak Yellow” is Cardi B’s freestyle/take on Kodak’s “No Flockin.” Some fans were of the view that Cardi B had allegedly failed to give due credit to Kodak Black for inspiring the hit. This allegation prompted Cardi B to clap back at a troll by reminding them that she and Kodak Black are on great terms.
“He got credit on the song WE both getting rich with the song till we die ..The song is called Bodak Yellow for a reason,” Cardi said to a fan sharing a screenshot of Black saying Cardi B was his “twin.” “You hoes get on this app saying the dumbest shit.”
Even though Kodak Black has been taking aim at the likes of Lil Baby and Pooh Shiesty for not paying homage, Cardi B isn’t on his list. To set the record straight, Black congratulated Cardi for her record-breaking single following news that she had made history as the first diamond-selling female rapper.
