Vanessa Bryant Condemns Meek Mill For ‘Insensitive’ Kobe Bryant Lyric

Vanessa Bryant Condemns Meek Mill For ‘Insensitive’ Kobe Bryant Lyric! Vanessa Bryant has come out to speak about a controversial Kobe Bryant lyric by rapper Meek Mill. A song by Meek Mill that leaked last week spawned backlash over a line about the late NBA superstar’s death. Vanessa Bryant took to social media on Feb. 22 to criticize the lyric through her Instagram story.

“Dear @meekmill, I find this line to be extremely insensitive and disrespectful,” she wrote. “Period. I am not familiar with any of your music, but I believe you can do better than this. If you are a fan, fine, there’s a better way to show your admiration for my husband. This lacks respect and tact.”

In a quick rejoinder, coming in less than a half hour after Vanessa shared this message, Meek tweeted, “I’m going back savage in this s–t … f#%k ya feelings!” Shortly after that, he tweeted, “Ion trust people gotta play it raw ……”

Most people who interacted with the tweet responded to the tweet by asking the rapper to apologize to Vanessa. Given the fact that the basketball superstar perished in a helicopter crash last year, along with his 13-year-old daughter Gianna and seven other people, many people on the internet were on Vanessa’s side agreeing that the line was insensitive and inappropriate.

On the contrary, Meek strongly disagreed with the backlash, calling those who were not happy about his line “zombies” that need to “wake up.”

The rapper took to Twitter to share his thoughts in a tweet that read, “They paying to influence y’all now … its almost like mind control ‘wake up’ [upside-down smile emoji].”

“somebody promo a narrative and y’all follow it…. y’all internet antics cannot stop me ….s–t like zombie land or something! Lol.”

The lyric in question leaked on February 17 and read, “This bitch I’m f—kin’ always tell me that she love but she ain’t ever showed me/ Yeah, and if I ever lack, I’m goin’ out with my chopper, it by another Kobe.”

The song hit the Internet just over a year after the LA Lakers legend and his 13-year-old daughter Gianna perished in a helicopter crash on January 26, 2020. The tragic accident also claimed the lives of Seven other people.

In a new twist of events, it appears Meek Mill has finally apologized to Vanessa. Through a tweet sent out a few hours ago the rapper claims he apologized to Vanessa Bryant privately earlier today. He asked people on twitter to “Change the subject” and steer clear of the matter for the sake of Kobe’s family.
