French Montana Announces CJ’s “Whoopty” Remix Alongside Rowdy Rebel! With CJ having recently released his latest project, Loyalty Over Royalty which includes the massive hit, “Whoopty.” The song has spawned a lot of buzz and clearly, as much controversy as the criticism the rapper faces over his credibility. CJ has however, continued to keep his head down and keep his grind going especially with French Montana by his side.
The Coke Boys CEO took to Instagram earlier yesterday (Feb. 23) giving Bobby Shmurda and Rowdy Rebel a welcome back home shout- accompanied by the announcement of the “Whoopty” remix. French is featured on the record alongside Rowdy Rebel. The move comes as a stamp of approval on one of the most commercially successful drill songs in recent times.
“YOU KNOW WHAT IT IS WHEN YOU HEAR THAT haannnnn WELCOME HOME @realbobbyshmurdags9 @rowdyrebel. my guys,” French revealed via his IG page along with some BTS footage of CJ, Rowdy Rebel and French Montana in the studio cooking up the remix. It’s unclear whether they’re hitting that Bobby Shmurda is also on the remix. “I want everybody to go tell @funkmasterflex to drop this FOR THE CITY,” French announced.
In a recent interview with Hot New Hip Hop, CJ explained that French Montana has accorded him the much needed support providing him lots of guidance since the rapper made an entry in the rap game, teasing a few collaborations while at it.
“I’m seven months in the game. He’s been in the game for a little while. He knows the ins-and-outs of this industry. He just wanted to guide me in the right direction and help me with this project,” CJ said.
