French Montana Confirms Upcoming Collabo With Jay-Z

French Montana Confirms Upcoming Collabo With Jay-Z! French Montana has confimed his collabo with Jay-Z is on the way. The New York rapper dropped the 5th installment of his reoccurring mixtape, CB5 (Coke Boys 5) in November 2020. The project featured cameos from the late Pop Smoke & Chinx. French also tapped Lil Durk, Max B, Benny The Butcher, Jack Harlow, NBA Youngboy & more. With the same energy spilling over into the new year, Montana is set for great things.

In the early stages of Verzuz, many artists and fans alike were in the act of  pitting names together to anticipate Potential Verzuz matchups. During a recent interview French said that he may “outshine” TDE rapper Kendrick Lamar if the two were to face off.

The rapper also tweeted that he and K-Dot would go neck and neck if “anthems” or “hit for hit” is the criteria. His statement sparked a lot of criticism and ridicule from Twitter to the extent of eliciting some comments from YSL CEO, Young Thug. French later tweeted to clarify that his statement came from a place of confidence and not disrespect.

If there’s any rapper who has the perfect chance  to add to his list of anthems this year then it has to be French Montana. While on a recent interview on DJ Semtex’s “Hip-Hop Raised Me” podcast, the “No Stylist” rapper confirmed that he and Jay-Z have found the perfect record to collaborate on.“The only person I haven’t worked with yet and we just found the song ,” started French. “I mean, I worked with him on other people’s songs. But me and him never had like, you know, one of the Montana hooks.” And we finally found the song.

However, nobody knows when the track will be dropping as French Montana did not share a timeline on the possible release of the potential track. He only stated that they are “going back and forth” on the creative of the record, but it has been confirmed.
