Fat Joe Says LL Cool J “Allegedly” Wants “Verzuz” Against Jay-Z Or Drake! As fans get ready for the upcoming rounds of theVerzuz battles, there have been discussions regarding what the powers that be are planning. Even as various artists give their opinion about the possibility of making appearances, Fat Joe has come out to give his take on who he would like to see face off.
While appearing on The Morning Hustle, Fat Joe told the hosts of the show that LL Cool J wants a Jay-Z or Drake battle. Asked about which fellow emcee he would want to go up against, the New York rapper said that he strongly believes that Rap fans would definitely be enthralled to watch a Fat Joe and 50 Cent battle. He noted that fans will “break records” to tune into a Fat Joe and 50 Cent Verzuz battle.
“I think the guys in the trap, I think the girls, I think everybody [would] be like, ‘Oh wow, we got a Verzuz 50 Cent [with] Fat Joe? Oh, I’m tuning into that joint.’… That’ll be the ideal one,” he said, before commenting about his name being mentioned for an LL Cool match-up. Fat Joe was full of praises for the rap but he is of the opinion that appearing on a Verzuz together would not be a good idea.
“LL Cool J, let me tell you, he’s my idol. I wouldn’t even feel right, you know what I’m saying?” said Joe. “I rap ’cause of him.” L’oreal wanted to know who 50 Cent believes would be a fair match for Cool James. “LL wants Jay-Z or Drake,” he said. “That’s who LL Cool J allegedly wants. Jay-Z or Drake.”
Though he didn’t give up much information about that, but he insisted on a possible 50 Cent appearance. “What would be the Verzuz battle that I think everybody would tune into if Fat Joe do it? It would be Fat Joe and 50 Cent.” He said.
