DaBaby and Roddy Ricch‘s “Rockstar” Surpases A Billion Streams On Spotify! DaBaby and Roddy Ricch linked up for the “Rockstar” hit song last year which went on to be the No.1 song in the United States. The No. 1 hit has already achieved multiple milestones so far including a 2021 Grammy nomination for Song of the Year and being certified 4 times platinum by the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA). Now the song has hit yet another milestone on streaming service Spotify. “Rockstar” has surpassed one Billion streams on Spotify alone making it DaBaby’s first song to achieve the milestone and Roddy Ricch’s second after “The Box”.

Sharing the good news of the milestone on Instagram, DaBaby wrote thanking his fans.

“Grammy nominated song of the year & Billboard #1 Hit for 7 weeks in a row is now at a BILLION+ streams on @spotify alone,” he announced on Instagram on Tuesday (Feb. 9). “Real nigga Rockstar, do anything but play wit em. appreciate y’all dearly for listening and enjoying. #ROCKSTAR

In December, the song was featured in NBA’s opening night promotional trailer, which included an appearance from DaBaby himself as well as NBA Star Point guards Jamal Murray and Luka Doncic. During the same month, DaBaby released an EP titled “My Brother’s Keeper (Long Live G). The 7 track EP was tribute to his late brother who died in November after sustaining a gunshot wound.

The SethInTheKitchen produced song spent seven non-consecutive weeks at No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 over the summer, making it DaBaby’s first chart-topper. It was the second single released off his third studio album BLAME IT ON BABY, which got assists from Future, YoungBoy Never Broke Again, Migos, A Boogie Wit Da Hoodie, Megan Thee Stallion among others.
