Eminem Drops Inspirational Visual For “Higher”

Eminem Drops Inspirational Visual For “Higher” – In December last year, Eminem dropped off Music to Be Murdered By: Side B, a splendid continuation of his 11th studio album Music to Be Murdered By. The new upgrade came with 16 new cuts and additional appearances from Dr. Dre, DJ Premier, Ty Dolla $ign, Skylar Grey, and more. In a bid to keep the momentum going, Eminem has now dropped off a new visual from Side B for “Higher.” The new visual is reportedly a self-production in which the Detroit legend reflects on his successful career:

“I look at me now, I’m thinkin’, ‘damn,’ how proud of me I am, what I did is nothin’ to sneeze at, even if your allergies are bad, I’m up in a balcony in France, I look around, I see the fans, how they surround me in the stands, Probably could drown in a sea of hands, they’re hollerin’, ‘Shady,’ yelling it out to me…” he raps.

In the black-and-white video Slim Shady is seen borrowing from LL Cool J’s classic “Mama Said Knock You Out,” rapping his lines from a microphone hanging over a boxing ring. With “Higher” having premiered via Conor McGregor and Dustin Poirier’s recent match, various shots of UFC fighters are seen in both the Octagon and in the gym – a symbol for anyone that’s committed to remain at the top of their respective crafts. In the clip, Eminem also appears in both a UFC-styled press conference and in a hot-headed mock interview on ESPN, with a cameo from Dana.

Music to Be Murdered By released in January of last year, saw 20 cuts with assists from the likes of Young M.A, Royce da 5’9”, Q-Tip, Juice WRLD,  Ed Sheeran, Black Thought, Anderson, Paak, Don Toliver, and Slaughterhouse (sans Joe Budden). Thanks to the album, Eminem landed his 10th No. 1 album following an impressive 279,000 album units sold during its first week of release.
