Young Thug Announces “Hometown Hero” Benefit Concert in Atlanta

Young Thug will host a “Hometown Hero” benefit concert at State Farm Arena in Atlanta on Tuesday, December 16. Tickets go on sale Wednesday, October 8, at 10:00 AM ET via Ticketmaster. The rapper confirmed the event in a press release Monday morning.

The show is billed as “Young Thug & Friends,” though no additional performers have been announced. The concert follows the release of his fourth studio album, UY Scuti, which dropped last month. The project includes collaborations with Cardi B, Future, Lil Baby, Sexyy Red, Travis Scott, 21 Savage, and more.

There was speculation that Thug would face challenges securing features for UY Scuti after leaked jail phone calls where he dissed several collaborators. He addressed the rumors on the Its Up There podcast, stating: “Don’t believe the hype. They say I pulled the album back because I ain’t get the features. Who y’all thought wasn’t gonna be on the album? They’re on the album.”

One notable absence from the Atlanta concert is expected to be Gunna. Thug explained on the podcast why collaboration with Gunna is unlikely anytime soon: “I think I’m just in the unpacking phase. It ain’t even about not f*cking with you because I want him to just understand why I feel like it shouldn’t happen again… We love each other, we’re just going our own ways. Sometimes you do that.”

After the Atlanta show, Young Thug will embark on a 2026 tour. He confirmed to Adin Ross that Quavo will join him on the road, signaling a high-profile lineup for the upcoming tour.

The “Hometown Hero” concert reinforces Young Thug’s influence in Atlanta and his commitment to giving back to the community while celebrating his recent musical achievements. Fans can expect a mix of his latest tracks from UY Scuti alongside classic hits during the event.
