Lil Wayne, Kodak Black On Potential Presidential Pardon List – With a list of celebrities reportedly on his presidential pardon list, it is crystal clear Donald Trump is going to leave office with a bang. Quite a good number of superstars are being considered before for presidential pardon before 45 vacates the white house. On his list are two notable figures in the Hip-Hop Industry that are likely to become beneficiaries of his mercy is Lil Wayne and Kodak Black.
Trump is also considering pardons for White House Staff and some of his family members including senior adviser Stephen Miller, Chief of Staff Mark Meadows, personnel chief John McEntee, personal lawyer Rudy Guiliani, social media director Dan Scavino, his daughter Ivanka and her husband Jared Kushne.
Lil Wayne was charged with possession of firearms by the United States District Attorney in the Southern District of Florida. If convicted, the rapper is likely to serve a sentence of not less than ten years given the fact that he is a convicted felon.
Kodak Black, a florida based rapper on the other hand is behind bars after being convicted last year for the same crime.
The two artists surprised their fans when they expressed their support for Donald Trump days to the November 2020 election. They had never stood for Trump in the past neither had they gone public about their political leanings before. On December 11 2020, Lil Wayne pleaded guilty to one count of possessing a firearm and ammunition as a felon. Unless Trump comes to his rescue with a presidential pardon before January 20, the artist will be sentenced January 28 and faces up to 10 years in prison.
