It seems musicians Drake and SZA have a bit of a long history.The two come form way back, Drake had recently revealed that he dated the singer a new song he features on. SZA took to social media to confirm that indeed she was in a relationship with the rapper.
Since new found news have been shared through song that SZA dated Drake, the singer went on to confirm on social media about her relationship with Drake that happened over 10 years ago. Many fans discovered the to had been dating on a song that dropped last Friday and many were surprised by the news.
The 29 year old ‘Ctrl” singer tweeted “So It was actually 2009 lol [upside down smile emoji].. in this case a year of poetic rap license mattered [frown face emoji]ol I think he jus innocently rhymed 08 w wait . Anybody who really knows me and was around during this time can confirm.. it’s all love all peace”. the singer explained on when the relationship with Drake took place and about the people around her during that time knew about the relationship.
SZA further added “I just didn’t want anybody thinking anything underage or creepy was happening . Completely innocent . Lifetimes ago”. The relationship too place when SZA was when she was between the ages of 17 and 18 while the “POPSTAR” rapper was 22 or 23. Many have commented on the two artists age during the time they date and the singer explained that it was an innocent relationship.
Drake had earlier revealed in the lyrics of a recent song that he dated the “The Weekend” singer. The lines of the song “Mr. Right Now” named dropped the singer and mentioned of the two being in a relationship many years ago. The two musicians have been pictured together and just earlier in the year Drake had posted on social media on official Instagram account to congratulate SZA on her song “Hit Different”. The two seem to still have lots of friendly love for one another even though many have said SZA did not appreciate being name dropped on a song.
