Russ Reveals The Impact Nicki Minaj Would Have Had On The TikTok Era

Russ Reveals The Impact Nicki Minaj Would Have Had On The TikTok Era! It goes without saying that Nicki Minaj is a legend in the game, even though some people may hold the view that she doesn’t always get the credit she deserves. That said, Russ is one rapper who has always stood for Minaj who has consistently emphasized the importance of giving  the rapper her flowers while she can still smell them.

Nicki Minaj’s prevalence in the 2010s is something Hip Hop fans will live to remember long after she hangs up her mic for good. On Monday (March 29), Russ took to Twitter to give people the much needed reminder about Nicki Minaj’s impact on the game during the peak of her career and even theorized she’d totally dominate the Tik Tok era.

“Imagine if TikTok was out during Nicki Minaj blowin up era…numbers woulda been astronomical lmao,” Russ said via a tweet. “Did it on em, only, anaconda, twerk it, FEELING MYSELF Man, soooo many like bruh lmao shit was already outta here but that woulda been insane lol.”

This isn’t the first time Russ shows love to the Queen. Speaking on the Rap Radar podcast in December of 2019, the Diemon stressed Nicki Minaj’s dominance on the Hip Hop scene in the 2010s making it known that there was no other rapper, male or female, who dominated like Nicki Minaj did.

“I understand you might not like certain things they’re saying, but you can’t just dismiss a whole career,” Russ stated during his interview with Brian “B. Dot” Miller and Elliott “YN” Wilson. “You can’t dismiss the fact that Nicki was the biggest female rapper for a whole fucking decade straight. Y’all can’t even last a fucking summertime. This girl was the biggest, most successful female rapper for 10 years. You know how hard that is? Motherfuckers struggle to last two months.”

Fair enough but it’s highly unlikely that many people would co-sign his claim with much conviction given the fact that Minaj hardly needed TikTok to dominate the charts. The rapper currently holds 38 gold and platinum songs, many of which have gone multi-platinum. On that note, one wonders how much more of a boost Minaj might have needed under different circumstances. Check out Russ’ acknowledgement of the legendary rapper below.
