Another record has now been broken by The Weeknd, The singers hit song “Blinding Lights” has now broken records by becoming the longest-running Top 5 entry on the Billboard 100. This is not the fisrt time that The Weeknd breaks Billboard history.

The Weeknd has just made Billboard history, the singers hit son “Blinding Lights” has now broken another record by now being considered as the longest-running top 5 song in history. The song has been in the top 5 of the Billboard Hot 100 for over 28 consecutive weeks.

In the 62 years history of the Hot 100 song, a song has not stayed in the top 5 chart for such along time. “Blinding Lights” has now hit its 28th consecutive week this week, The song has now passed Ed Sheeran’s “Shape Of You” which also stayed on the charts of 27 weeks in 2017, it beat the song just by a week.

“Blinding Lights” which is from the Canadian singers album “After Hours” has been a big hit in numerous charts for the past year. The song dropped late last year in November 2019, the song later peaked at number 1 in March 2020. The single remained at the number 1 spot for over 4 weeks and now has been in the to 5 for over 28 weeks.

Since “After Hours is The Weeknd’s latest album, he has shared in a recent interview that he has another album in store. The 30 year old hit maker has surely always taken the music industry by storm with his hits and music. The Weeknd also shared that he working on a secret screenplay which he will not be sharing too many details about, fans can anticipate more form him in the coming months.
