It had been revealed 2 months ago that Dr. Dre and his wife Nicole Young had been getting a divorce. Nicole Young who is now estranged wants insight into the money which the big time rapper and producer has made. She has subpoenaed Dre for his separate financial records for the last 10 years.

Nicole has now also requested to receive $1 million to maintain herself while the divorce procedures are still taking place. As during divorce woman are liable to request a certain amount of maintenance money from their husband. Since the “Compton”rapper has assets of up to a billion dollars, Nicole is now making high demands.

Dr Dre has been trying to keep his businesses separate, he has had separate property and business entities. He is trying to stop his ex wife to get access to his financial information. He considers the info that Nicole is seeking as confidential. Dre is only planning to release the couples tax returns which will provide Nicole with enough information.

It seems that Nicole is up to fight for half of the billionaire producers money. The money that she is seeking to ‘maintain status quo’ may be that she is seeking the financial means to sustain herself and to as well pay for the many legal aspects she is taking while the divorce is in procedure.
