Tyler, the Creator Hints at Taking a “Very Long Break” After World Tour

Tyler, the Creator says he may be stepping away from touring once his Chromakopia World Tour comes to an end. The rapper made the announcement during the tour’s final concert in the Philippines over the weekend.
“I’m excited to go home and think about if I’ll ever really tour again… I can’t lie to y’all, I’m at that part of my life where, man, I’ve done enough,” Tyler told the crowd. “Let me go take a very, very, very long break… Y’all treated me very well, y’all treated Paris Texas very well. So, thank y’all.”
His comments suggest he is seriously considering a pause from the road, though he has already lined up more shows. Earlier this month, Tyler confirmed he will perform in Argentina, Chile, Costa Rica, Colombia, Brazil, Mexico, and Puerto Rico in March 2026.
The possible break comes after a particularly busy run for the Odd Future founder. In 2024, he released his eighth studio album, Chromakopia, which debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200. The project included features from Daniel Caesar, Doechii, GloRilla, LaToiya Williams, Lil Wayne, Lola Young, Santigold, Schoolboy Q, Sexyy Red, and Teezo Touchdown.
While still promoting that album on tour, Tyler dropped a surprise follow-up in July 2025 titled Don’t Tap the Glass. The project shifted toward a dance-focused sound, with Tyler encouraging fans to move rather than sit still. “I asked some friends why they don’t dance in public and some said because of the fear of being filmed,” he said at the time. “It made me wonder how much of our human spirit got killed because of the fear of being a meme. This album was not made for sitting still. Dancing driving running any type of movement is recommended to maybe understand the spirit of it. Only at full volume.”
With two albums released in back-to-back years and a world tour spanning multiple continents, Tyler has been one of the most active artists in hip hop recently. His comments in Manila suggest he may now be ready to step back and recharge. Whether his “very long break” means a temporary pause or a lasting retreat from touring remains to be seen, but fans in Latin America will still get the chance to see him perform in 2026 before any hiatus takes effect.
