Royce Da 5’9″ Celebrates 1 Year Of “The Allegory” With New Video For “I Don’t Age.” Royce Da 5’9″ has been consistent as far as dropping quality music is concerned. The Detroit rapper has been releasing incredible music for decades now, and his latest work of art, The Allegory, which is self-produced for your information has secured him the first Grammy nomination of his career. With over one year having elapsed since he released his milestone-achieving project, the Detroit hitmaker came through with a new video for one of the album’s standout tracks in “I Don’t Age.”
In the video, Royce opts to keep things relatively simple, at least before the camera. However,behind the camera is a diferent story altogether, as Joe LeFleur, the director, utilizes the illusion of a single long take for maximum immersion. All along, Royce channels effortless charisma as the main man, strolling through a dynamic household while chopping it up with the likes of Horseshoe Gang and KXNG Crooked. There’s some detail to appreciate in plenty in “I Don’t Age,” provided you shift the focus away from Royce’s bars and concentrate fully on the visuals.
With the Grammy Awards set to take place on Sunday, March 14th, many will certainly be curious to tune in to the Best Rap Album category, where Nickel is set to go head-to-head with Freddie Gibbs, D Smoke, Nas, and Jay Electronica. It will definitely be a tough competition, but definitely not one that Royce hasn’t been well conditioned for, after all, we are talking about a man who does not age.
