Netflix Shares Trailer For Upcoming Notorious B.I.G. Documentary, ‘I Got A Story To Tell’
Netflix Shares Trailer For Upcoming Notorious B.I.G. Documentary, ‘I Got A Story To Tell’ Netflix has announced a new documentary that will be focused on the late legend – the Notorious B.I.G. On Monday, the streaming platform launched the first trailer for Biggie: I Got a Story to Tell, which notably takes its title from the Life After Death track of the same name.
I Got a Story to Tell is an origin story-esque reflection on the life and career of the hugely influential Brooklyn artist. The documentary will feature interviews and additional commentary from notable figures including Biggie’s mother Voletta Wallace, Faith Evans, Sean “Diddy” Combs, Lil’ Cease of Junior M.A.F.I.A., and others. Voletta and Diddy also dabble as executive producers on the project.
“I Got a Story to Tell” track made headlines back in 2016 after Fat Joe’s claim that the basketball player mentioned in the lyrics was the late Anthony Mason. Diddy also backed up the claim. Moments later, Director Aristotle Torres dropped a short film based on the song in remembrance of what would’ve been Biggie’s 44th birthday.
A description of the film reads: “Every legend has an origin story. Christopher Wallace, AKA The Notorious B.I.G., remains one of Hip-Hop’s icons, renowned for his distinctive flow and autobiographical lyrics. This documentary celebrates his life via rare behind-the-scenes footage and the testimonies of his closest friends and family.”
The Notorious B.I.G. was inducted into the Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame in November in his induction speech with Diddy paying tribute to late legend
